When a team hosts a swim meet, each coach on their staff automatically gains meet administrator privileges, including access to all team entries. While this setup aids in meet coordination, it can pose issues for visiting teams who prefer to keep their entries confidential until the meet begins.
To maintain the confidentiality of entries until the start of the meet, follow these steps:
- Verify Meet Setup: Confirm that all meet rules and events are correctly established. This foundational step ensures that the meet runs smoothly and according to regulations.
- Appoint a Neutral Administrator: Navigate to the "About" section of the meet setup page and invite a neutral third party to serve as the meet administrator. This person will receive an invitation to manage the meet.
- Remove Unnecessary Administrators: Review the list of current meet administrators and remove any who should not have access to entries, including yourself if necessary.
- Reinstate Administrators Post-Deadline (Optional): After the entry deadline has passed, the neutral administrator can re-add the original administrators to the meet. This reinstatement allows them to perform necessary tasks such as running reports, downloading files, and other administrative functions crucial for conducting the meet.
