Swimcloud automatically reads the altitude data from meet result files and adjusts swim times accordingly. When a meet takes place at a higher altitude, Swimcloud will display two times for each swimmer: the actual race time and the altitude-adjusted time. The adjusted time will be marked with an "A" tag.
Different organizations may apply slightly different altitude adjustment factors. For example, for events like the 1,500-meter swim, Swimcloud uses the NCAA adjustment of 20 seconds for elevations between 4,251 and 6,500 feet.
If Swimcloud isn't displaying an altitude-adjusted time, Meet Administrators or Region Administrators can correct this by unlocking the meet, entering the appropriate altitude in the "About" tab, and then re-locking the meet to apply the changes.
