Once you've completed your Swimcloud swimmer profile registration, you can manage all aspects of your Swimcloud presence. To begin setting up or editing your profile, click on the "Manage" button found on your main profile page as shown below.
Update/Edit your "About You" section
Your first name, middle initial, last name, and date of birth are used to automatically match your meet results to your profile. To edit these, click Manage, then the Profile tab.
If your coach uses Swimcloud for roster management and meet entries, keeping this information accurate and consistent increases the odds that new results connect to your profile automatically. If your coach uses a different system for meet entries, ask them to make sure their roster matches what's on your Swimcloud profile.
If a new profile was created instead of connecting to your existing one: this isn't something you did wrong — our matching system occasionally can't find a confident match even when everything is entered correctly. If this happened to you, see Why Did I Get a New Profile Instead of My Existing One? for how to get your profiles merged.
Updating your address
Your city, state, and country are initially set based on your team's location from your first processed meet result. To update this yourself:
- Click Manage
- Go to the Profile tab
- Enter your address
- Click Save
Your address also determines your home country for Regional Swimmer rankings.
Changing your email address
- Click Manage (or click your avatar in the top right, then Settings)
- Go to the Account tab
- Enter your new email address
- Click Change email
Getting an "email already in use" error? This usually means the email is already tied to another Swimcloud account — often because a parent registered a child's profile using their own email, and is now trying to switch it to the child's. To resolve this:
- If the other account is one of yours (or your child's) and should be merged with this one, submit a request with both profile links and we'll combine them.
- If you don't recognize the other account, submit a request and let us know — we can look into it.
Changing your name
If your name was entered incorrectly (for example, a parent registered the account before you had your own email), click Manage, then click Request name change under the first name field. This opens a pre-filled email to our support team — just confirm the current name and the name you'd like displayed, and send it.
Still need help?
If something isn't covered here, submit a request and we'll take a look.
