Searching for Schools and Contacting Coaches

Swimcloud makes it easy for swimmers to research colleges, explore recruiting opportunities, and contact college coaches directly through the platform.

Accessing the Recruiting Dashboard

1. Log in to your Swimcloud account.
2. Click Recruiting in the left-side menu to open Swimcloud's recruiting dashboard.

Searching for Colleges

This is the default tab on your recruiting dashboard.

1. From the Recruiting dashboard, click College Search.
2. Use the available search filters to narrow schools based on criteria that are important to you, such as:
   • Name
   • Location
   • School type
   • Campus environment
   • Cost
   • Admissions criterion
   • Majors
   • Swimming Comparison (Varsity Account Only)

As you adjust your filters, Swimcloud will update the list of matching schools.

Contacting College Coaches from Search Results

Swimcloud allows swimmers to contact college coaches directly from the college search results.

1. In the search results list, locate a school you are interested in.
2. Click the Contact button next to the school.
3. Compose your email message.
4. Optionally, BCC yourself for your records.
5. Send your message.

Reaching out directly to coaches demonstrates initiative and helps programs learn more about you as a student-athlete.

Contacting Coaches from a School Page

You can also contact coaches directly from a college’s Swimcloud page.

1. Navigate to the school’s page on Swimcloud.
2. Click the Coaches tab.
3. Click the Email link next to a coach’s name.
4. Compose and send your message.

Tips for Contacting Coaches

When emailing college coaches:

• Introduce yourself clearly
• Include your graduation year
• Mention your best events and times
• Share why you are interested in their program
• Keep your message concise and professional
