Creating a Meet
Swimcloud offers three ways to create a meet.
-
Using the Meet Builder (Manually Create a Meet):

- Best for Customization: The Meet Builder is your go-to tool for setting up every aspect of your meet with maximum flexibility.
- Details to Configure: Customize your meet by setting the name, location, dates, opponents, and events. You can also define entry requirements, qualifying standards, and scoring rules to suit your meet’s specific needs.
- Why Choose This Option: Ideal for meets requiring detailed setup, such as multi-day events or those with unique scoring systems.

-
Best for Efficiency: Save time by duplicating a previously organized meet, making it perfect for recurring events or meets with intricate setups.
- What’s Retained: Cloning preserves all settings, including event rules, opponent lists, and scoring criteria from the original meet.
- Why Choose This Option: This method is particularly useful for teams hosting annual events or similar competitions.
-
Uploading an Invitation or Event File:

-
Best for Basic Setup: Use this option if you have an existing Hy-tek event or Lenex invitation file.
- Details to Note: While convenient, this method is less recommended since these files often lack details such as full meet rules. After creating your meet, you will need to configure the Meet Rules to dictate how the meet is conducted.
- Important Tip: If your Hy-tek .ev3 file is within a zipped folder, ensure you extract it before uploading.
